Are color words part of your kindergarten curriculum? We teach color words here in Missouri in Kindergarten! This includes reading them, spelling them, and writing them. One way that I teach color words is in context using simple sentences. We use these color word simple sentences during our guided reading groups, and during whole group reading time. They are simple and predictable which is perfect for new readers.
