Cancún is one of Mexico’s most popular resort areas. Located on the Yucatán Peninsula, in the state of Quintana Roo, Cancún’s hotel zone is spread out across a 15 mile long sandbar. Cancún’s hotel zone is a main tourist area. For those of us who don’t like large crowds this may not seem like an ideal destination for a vacation.
